    Yes, tragic isn’t it! He was great, the quintessential 20th century caricaturist. He had so many imitators (none as good as him!) and yet got treated so badly in the end (see the link on the left). When I was an agent in the 80s I tried to get The Sunday Times Magazine to bring him over to cover Wimbledon. I’d heard he was a keen tennis fan and thought it would be good for him and the Times..but it never came off.

    They used the very wooden imitator Richard Wilson instead.
